Set up your account and equipment locker.

A member is a signed-in SSL user. Signing in unlocks the implemented member tools. Your profile and equipment entries are optional; there is no payment or separate activation step.

1. Open My locker and sign in

   Sign in with ChatGPT. No existing account? Choose Sign up on the ChatGPT sign-in screen and follow its steps, then return to SSL.

2. Choose an optional profile

   In My locker, open Profile & save controls. Enter a Display name, Country and State / region if you wish, then choose Save profile. These are optional and are not required to unlock tools.

3. Add your metal detector

   Under Add equipment, choose Equipment type (Detector first), Manufacturer, then Model. Choose I own this · add to locker. Add only equipment you own. Grey Information pending records remain selectable.

4. Add the rest of your owned gear

   Repeat for your coils, headphones and pinpointers. My model is not listed reveals Manufacturer name and Model name or number. The catalog-review checkbox is optional; it does not verify ownership or automatically publish a model.

5. Choose your default kit

   Under Your default kit, choose Change default kit, select gear already in your locker, then Save default kit. Leave unowned categories Not selected. Detector-and-coil selection is required when starting an implemented hunt, not when joining SSL.

6. Check the save confirmation

   Look for Saved to your account. Return with the same ChatGPT account to retrieve your locker. If a save fails, keep the page open and choose Retry save. Keep unsaved edits until saving is confirmed.
